I'm going to get my visa. Then I am going to catch a plane. Then I am going to move into a house in Padang, and learn to love it, and not be sad, because I am having a great adventure.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry. You are independant and strong. You have already proved that. As long as you remember that what you are doing is not permanent or irreversible. It's not 1788, anywhere in the world is 24 hours maximum away from Melbourne, and a broken contract doesn't mean anything. With all this in mind, you can go ahead, get your visa, go on to Padang and become a "Superteachy"! As long as you remember that you can quit and come home anytime, you've got nothing to worry about!

Um, is Jor El superman's dad? I haven't checked this out, just remembering from movies... and is this MY dad? I'm not sure what move away from the kryptonite means. In weak moments I might be tempted to think it means move away from Indonesia...
ReplyDeleteHi Naomi, Steve here... sounds like you're doing it tough... don't feel like you've failed by packing up and coming home. It doesn't mean you're not a strong person because I feel i'm a strong person and I don't think I could handle it either. Without sounding too negative Indonesia is a third world country that thinks it isn't.
